Mission Statement

“Underground is a Seventh-Day Adventist Christian youth movement that exists to UNITE students in Christian fellowship, help them experience WORSHIP, to encourage them to SERVE a ministry that fits them, to REACH non-believers and to MATURE students in faith.”

Description

UNITE:

We aspire to be more than friendships; we need to be a community.  The world is harsh and cut-throat.  Underground is to be an environment that is safe—safe from prejudice, criticism and judgment.  It is essential to build meaningful Christ-based relationships, which are not built upon where you are from, where you live or where you go to school, but rather where you are going (heaven).

WORSHIP:

It is our goal for young people to have an experience with God through the passionate music, preaching of the Word and the moving of the Holy Spirit.

SERVE:

We live in a broken, hurting world.  People all around us are starving, sick, growing old, lonely, etc.  Much of Jesus’ message to his followers was that we will grow the kingdom of God most while serving others, which in return we also will grow spiritually.  Underground wants to open opportunities (which are endless) for every person to serve God in their own way.

REACH:

Underground is not about getting big.  But we are about bringing as many people to the kingdom of Christ as possible.  There are thousands of young people, just in DFW, who are living (and dying) without Jesus Christ and the hope of the resurrection.  At least one of them needs YOU to reach out to him/her.  Underground needs to be a partnership of students and adults to impact a dying world for Christ.

MATURE:

Your relationship with Jesus Christ should never be stale or stagnant.  All students must be empowered with resources so that their relationships with God are ever growing.  This will take time, commitment and passion.  We want to help you on your journey to become a mighty disciple for our Lord.
