In Hebrew, the word "hand" (yad) is very significant.  Actually, in Hebrew nouns have their roots in action.  So the root word of "hand" (yad) actually is "to throw".  Your hand has the power to hit, kill and destroy but, on the other hand, has the power to heal, embrace, feed, lift up and give.  If we have hands, we have power to change other lives.  And in my estimation, this is the business of our community.
