Authentic Worship

Worship through music at Younger Generation Church is an experience. Whether you’re a worshiper who re- mains seated and simply hums along to the melody, or one who stands up and sings with reckless abandon, YG is a place where you can connect with Jesus however you are wired.

I love being surrounded by individuals who authentically surrender themselves to God. Seeing their different worship styles shatters my beliefs on what worship is; there is no single way in which you are supposed to worship. The beautiful thing is that YG is a place where we are em- powered to be authentic in our worship.

I will never forget the first time I encountered Younger Generation Church. I didn’t know what to expect when walking into the dimly lit worship center. I remember watching as worship leader James Dechavez jumped around the stage with a huge smile on his face while singing “Alive” by Hillsong Young & Free. Later in the service, worship leader Zipporah Gaines sang “Ever Be” by Bethel Music. As she clasped the microphone with her head bowed, God’s power truly filled the worship center. At that moment, I felt the worship leaders express an authentic connection with God. While the musical styles varied, a single goal remained: to honor and glorify God.

After attending just one worship service, I knew that YG would become my home church because it is a place where I could be authentic. Worshiping here has taught me to let go of the difficult experiences I deal with each week and surrender it all to God.

Being a member of Younger Generation Church has changed the way I view and experience worship. It has taught me to worry less about what is happening around me and to listen to the Holy Spirit. I am so thankful for this new mindset of worship. YG, sing with your heart.
