Above & Beyond

YOUNGER GENERATION CHURCH IS ABOVE AND BEYOND BLESSED

Entering two decades of deepening the devotion of next generations to Christ Jesus, Younger Generation Church [YG] has reached a significant milestone for any young adult ministry in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. And this would not have been possible except for the faithful church members who go above and beyond in their consistent support of YG’s mission.

Your contributions financially to YG make us one of the most ambitious and visionary young adult ministries in Adventism. As you look towards your year-end donations, we deeply appreciate your consideration of Younger Generation Church. We would invite you to also consider automating your giving to offer a consistent support to our ministry.

2024 REFLECTIONS

Having spent a decade and a half of my ministry career at Younger Generation Church, I now get to enjoy some unique experiences. Dedicating the grand-babies of YG members reminds me that the legacy of YG goes much further than the transitory years of young adulthood. If done faithfully, we have an opportunity to bless generation upon generation upon generation.

I am above and beyond blessed to be part of Younger Generation Church, and this past year was filled with so many reasons for gratitude.

There are dozens upon dozens of passionate volunteers who serve in so many inspiring and unseen capacities. Beyond the inspiration on stage, there are places and spaces all throughout the DFW Metroplex and around the world where “Being Jesus, Being YG” is a lifestyle.

In addition to our weekly Sabbath worship experiences, YG has hosted gatherings like GODencounters, Full Life Conference, See You Sabbath, Global Youth Day, Shindig, CHOSEN, Dwell Worship, and International Day, not to mention the various LIFEgroups discipling YGers across North Central Texas and the digital landscape.

Watching our young adults grow and flourish in life and leadership is such a precious honor. Part of our responsibility at YG is to launch them faithfully as fully devoted followers of Jesus, asking for GOD’s rich blessing upon them wherever He purposes for them to bless others.

Our YG internship and residency program continues to expand including collaborative partnerships with Southwestern Adventist University, Burton Adventist Academy, Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South, and AdventHealth Southwest.

This Summer, YG’s 20th Anniversary was a grand celebration filled with reminiscing about historic moments while building momentum for a visionary future. Hundreds gathered from across the nation to enjoy this milestone in spectacular fashion.

During the anniversary, Dee and I were honored to be prayed over by all of YG. It would be important to know that young adults are not the only ones deeply blessed by this ministry. We are all profoundly changed as we fulfill GOD’s purpose in our generation. I love the quote by Pastor Louie Giglio:

To hold the door for the next generation is what life is all about.

For yet another year, I’ve been blessed to be a doorholder in GOD’s courtyard, making way for new generations to dream GOD’s sized dreams as Jesus casts a vision through their passionate lives. I am above and beyond blessed. Thank you so much for the honor of ministering alongside you. — Pastor Allan
