There are countless YGers all over the world living out their faith and making an impact for Christ’s Kingdom. Here are just a few of their stories to bless and inspire us all.
Beryl Otchere, DDS, is now practicing dentistry in Ohio while her husband is completing his medical training. She continues to disciple in her new role as a young mother, and shares her inspiration and creativity through her lifestyle blog, Bloom, Beryl.
Oddie Olazaran was very actively involved with Spiritual Life and Development while attending at Southwestern Adventist University. During his collegiate years he not only served in multiple leadership capacities at @ygchurch but also as our pastoral intern. He and his wife, Madeline, currently reside in Southwest Michigan where Oddie is completing a Masters of Divinity at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary.
Faith Rivera and her husband Kevin, have long been actively involved with ministry at @ygchurch dating back to their teenage years. Kevin is now in medical school. Graduating from UNT, Faith returned to leadership at YG, but also in the community serving with Tarrant County Public Health.
Ethan Francis just turned 11 years old and attends Burton Adventist Academy. He is a multi-sport athlete and has won multiple championships, however this success has not hindered his humble, friendly personality. He loves his church because it is his way of life, literally. His family, his education, his friends, his interests—all are woven together with his faith. Just for the record, he has been to more @ygchurch rehearsals than any of you will ever know, also Ethan is be mentored to serve in media ministry.
Paula & Lizbeth Reyes are a wonderful example of how GOD uses our challenges and difficulties to draw us closer to Him. Even amidst the pandemic, @ygchurch online not only kept us connected to our worshiping community, GOD also worked through our digital presence to touch hearts and mend lives. YG was “Church” in the Reyes home, bringing both Paula and Lizbeth to a decision for baptism while watching worship services online.
