YG CHURCH LIVE, IN-PERSON WORSHIP
IS AVAILABLE THIS WEEKEND

As of Friday, 12noon, the current status of our Arlington Adventist Church contingency plan is STAGE 2. In short summary, this is what that means:

In person, Sabbath worship services remain available.

YG and Mosaic worship services are available online and through FB live streaming for those who choose to stay home. Vulnerable people groups are encouraged to stay home and utilize online worship options.

Form Kids Online is available to help families engage in worship activities together at home.

UG Youth shut-in and assisted living ministry cancelled until further notice.

No communal food (potluck, shared snacks, food platters, etc.) will be served on church premises. Only individually packaged, single-portion foods will be provided if needed.

We will continue our practice of regular cleaning with additional services as outlined below:

-Disinfectant vapor spray foyer and Sanctuary for Friday morning
-Disinfect all door knobs and handrails Saturday morning
-Open all doors to sanctuary at the beginning and end of each service
-Disinfect all sanctuary doors at the end of each service
-Make sure all bathroom soap dispensers are for Sabbath services
-Place additional hand sanitizers in each bathroom

Tithes and Offerings will be collected at the back door of the sanctuary, offering plates will not be passed.

Bulletins will be available but will not be distributed at the doors.

Communication between members with words rather than physical contact (handshake, hug, etc.) is encouraged.

Encourage those who aren’t feeling well to stay home.

Encourage hand-washing and use of hand sanitizer.

Travel for church staff and church-sponsored ministries will be limited.

ASDAC HEALTH PRECAUTION PLAN UPDATE
MARCH 13, 12:00AM : STAGE 2

In light of the current situation regarding the spread of the COVID-19 virus, our pastoral staff and ministry leaders want to assure you that we are taking the situation seriously. We understand this is a concern that is on your hearts and minds and that it impacts each of you in a significant way. Know that our team is working to provide an environment for worship and fellowship that is safe for you and your family.

In the midst of these anxieties we want to be intentional in remembering and reminding each other that we serve a sovereign God. One who loves us and who has a plan for our ultimate deliverance. Knowing that our God has delivered in the past, we can rest our hearts in him today with confidence. As we are instructed by Paul in Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

The staff and leadership of the Arlington Adventist Church are taking precautionary measures to help keep our community healthy and provide peace of mind for the Arlington community as well as our guests as news surrounding the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) continues to develop. It is our desire to work in partnership with and support of the healthcare workers, state, and federal officials who are tasked with monitoring and fighting the spread of this virus.

Our current status is: Stage 2

As this is an ever-changing situation, please go to our website to thoroughly read the current recommendations offered, aspects specific to our stage 2 response plan and links to other helpful informational resources, https://arlingtonadventist.com/covid-19

REALtalk • First & Last Sabbath, 11:40AM • ROOM 7
Join us after YG for some REALtalk! REALtalk is a new LIFEgroup that meets the first and last Sabbath of every month at 11:40AM. This group aims to provide a safe space for individuals to talk about things that impact our daily lives in an authentic, nonjudgmental way. We will be diving deeper into difficult topics and look at what the Bible has to say about these things while learning to speak life into these experiences. For more information contact Jenn Robles.

KENYA MISSION TRIP • JUNE 23 - JULY 4, 2020
The Arlington Adventist church is excited to partner with Maranatha International for a mission trip opportunity to Kenya in June of 2020! This 10-day project will happen at the Kajiado Adventist School and Rescue Center, a facility opened in 2000 to provide food, shelter, and education for Masai girls seeking an escape from abuse, child marriage, and ritualistic mutilation, which is illegal but still widely practiced. Since it’s opening, the Kajiado School has been frequently supported by Maranatha International, and the Arlington Adventist Church is honored to be part of helping this facility continue to grow and prosper! COVID-19: TAKE WISE PRECAUTIONS
The Texas Conference Crisis Management team has been closely monitoring the latest information on the novel coronavirus. We want to share what we know with the Texas Conference community and also share precautionary stands we’re making.

The Texas Department of State Health Services [DSHS] reports:
“DSHS, the Texas Division of Emergency Management, and other state agencies continue their ongoing preparations so that all of state government is working together to limit the spread of the virus and protect Texans. Minimizing exposure is especially important for people who are 65 or older or who have an underlying health condition like heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, high blood pressure or cancer. People in those groups have a higher risk of developing severe disease if they do get COVID-19, and the safest thing for them during an outbreak will be to stay home as much as possible and minimize close contact with other people. To get ready, they should talk to their doctor about getting additional prescription medications and have enough household items and groceries on hand to stay home as needed.” —March 12, 2020

There have been no reported cases of coronavirus on any of the Texas Conference campuses–schools or churches, and no reports from members being affected. --Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists

Here are some tips for staying well:
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue. Then throw the tissue in the trash.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
• Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
