ATTENTION: Young Adults [ages 18-35]
TXYoungAdults has officially rolled out info for the YAM TOUR (Young Adult Ministry Tour), with the first stop coming to The Keene Church!
This tour is a response to the feedback we have received from our Young Adults in Texas and some of the needs they expressed in our time together. Most prominent was the desire for safe space to have Christ-centered conversations about all things relevant to Young Adults today. Second was the need to have programming brought to their areas to make travel easier. Third was an opportunity to gather with other Young Adults seeking Jesus and a deeper walk with Him.
This tour is an effort to “scratch where it itches”. We are offering an opportunity to gather for a weekend and hold space for conversations that lead us to Christ. We will have “Team Huddles” that walk through a topic(s) over four sessions lead by individuals/couples who are wise in that area, but also gifted in listening. These huddles aren’t meant to be straight lectures, rather a conversation that leads to well rounded, scripture based insight.
The Team Huddles we have scheduled are "Hot Topic" where we talk through subjects that may not be typical in our church settings or can be a bit controversial because we approach it in a defensive stance… We will poll our Young Adults for topics they would like to discuss and list them on our area specific flyers.
"The Wait…" This is geared for single young adults who are waiting on the Lord or in a general season of waiting (career, healing, etc).
"Love & Marriage" Is geared towards those who are married or seriously considering marriage. Tips and tools for a lasting marriage, how to fight for love, addressing baggage, etc.
And lastly, "The Family Playbook" is geared towards Young Adult Parents or married couples looking to begin a family. What does it mean to be Godly parents, what is our calling as parents, how can we set our children up for success emotionally, spiritually, physically, etc.
A tentative schedule is available at TXYoungAdults social media feeds. Meals will be provided, but lodging will be up to those attending. It will be $50 for registration for this event, including our tour finale, Young Adult Retreat, at Lake Whitney Ranch.
Attend multiple stops and sign up for different tracks at each! We do ask that you remain on the same “Team” for our huddles the entire weekend as our sessions will build on each other.
