“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” —Mark 1:35
PRAYER
Dear God,
There’s a reason Jesus got up and spent time with you under the cloak of darkness.
Before the other voices began speaking into his life,
before the rush of everything to do,
before the expectations of others came moving towards him,
he heard from you and spent time in connection and conversation with you.
I need this so desperately in my life.
I need to hear from you, and to know you hear me.
Would you please help me to settle down and be still,
to know that you are God (Psalm 46:10).
In the name of Jesus,

Take a moment to imagine those moments that Jesus spent in prayer to God. What captures your attention in the prayer life of Jesus? What inspires you?
ACTION
Our hearts need time for quiet communion with God. Get into a quiet space.
Put your phone on “do not disturb.” Set a timer for 5 minutes.
Open your hands in your lap, bowing your head (and your heart) in a posture of surrender.
Begin opening your heart in conversation with God.
Pause and listen.
Wait before the Lord.

ADVENTIST YOUNG PROFESSIONALS LAUNCHES AYP GROUPS
Adventist Young Professionals is pleased to launch AYP Groups, a virtual program element focused on building community among young adults who share an interest or passion. AYP Groups layers the local connections provided by AYP Ambassadors with the virtual engagement offered through AYP Devotionals.
A brand new digital social network provides an interactive home for AYP Groups. The site is structured with a goal of connecting, engaging, and equipping young professionals with new people and resources. In addition to a dedicated section for AYP Groups, the site features searchable members directory and various social walls.
Interactive Format
AYP Groups provide multiple touchpoints that create a wholistic experience for young professionals. Each group is facilitated by a leader who has been interviewed and vetted by AYP’s Groups Coordinator and who is committed to supporting a positive and interactive experience for each member. Hosted on the member’s section of the AYP website, each group features a listing of members, link to the Zoom room, and social forum where members can continue engaging beyond their group meetings.
