FROM REVELATION TO RESURRECTION: INCENSE
But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume. Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume. And who is adequate for such a task as this? You see, we are not like the many hucksters who preach for personal profit. We preach the word of God with sincerity and with Christ’s authority, knowing that God is watching us. —2 Corinthians 2:14-17 (NLT)

From Adam and Eve’s animal skin coverings, the Passover, and the Lord’s Supper, God demonstrated in space and time the deep truth of His Love This week as we prepare to celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus through the various symbols Scripture uses to share the story of the Gospel, we will be sharing a video devotional each day which focuses on one of the symbols.

The older we become, the more crazy life seems to get. In fact, it quickly starts to feel like we're drowning. In an effort to stay afloat, we begin to rely on ourselves more and more, forgetting about the power of the God we grew up learning about.
Our God does not operate in a box and He is not limited like we are. He is able to do more than we could ever ask or imagine. There is simply nothing He cannot do. It just takes us to acknowledge that and lean into His promises. After all, it isn't Him who drifts, but us.

Small groups make a huge difference! This program is bringing people together and creating communities. Current group leader, Jaren Humphreys, said of the program,
“I have loved every second of leading a group with AYP! It has enhanced my spiritual life; being able to meet with like-minded people and create a space to talk about God has been huge. This has been phenomenal for me during COVID-19; it has given me a community that I would not have otherwise.”

HoA: The Series is intentionally designed to spark conversations.
Taken from over 40 interviews filmed across the United States, this 10-episode series contains a diverse set of stories and experiences - even conflicting values at times. Instead of telling you what to think and summarizing the episodes for you, our vision is that these episodes will be watched together and lead to deep discussions about the viewers’ own life experiences. We’ve attempted to cut to the heart of what drives human beings - questions of purpose and meaning, experiences of witnessing God’s work firsthand, and even navigating this new world of remote learning, church shutdowns, and lost employment.
Because this is not a theological project, but a relational one, we envision this series being used on a Sabbath afternoon or midweek small group. It can be easily adapted to remote watch parties and zoom small group discussions. But however you decide to share, we believe this will be an engaging, bonding experience for any group looking to deepen their relationships to each other and their neighbors.

MAKE UP SOME BLESSING BAGS
Often as we are driving in the DFW Metroplex, we will encounter homeless individuals panhandling at the traffic intersections. While any donation is sure to be appreciated, a blessing bag could provide valuable essentials, especially for homeless women. Find at the YG highbar tables in the lobby, bags ready for you to take and and checklist included to help you assemble blessing bags and to have them handy in your commuting vehicle. GRATITUDE/PRAYER WALK
Foster a routine or regular practice of doing a gratitude and/or prayer walk around your church—thanking GOD for your neighbors, interceding for the surrounding businesses and shops, blessing the schools and day cares. Listen to what GOD may reveal to you as you walk in your community. You may want to also do this type of walk around your home.
THE PLUS ONE CHALLENGE
During the Easter season and beyond, there are ample opportunities to introduce your friends, family, neighbors, classmates and co-workers to your faith. Your challenge/mission is to make a simple invitation to at least one person; Invite them to things you already like to do and to places you already like to go. Invite just one--Plus One. It's a great place to start.
