REVIVE MOBILE FOOD PANTRY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED // MARCH 24
Due to the reconstruction in the church, Revive Community Care is partnering with Tarrant County Food Bank to mobilize an all-outdoor food pantry in the coming weeks and months. There will be multiple opportunities to serve as a volunteer, as we recover from the flooding that impacted our church. We need lots of volunteers of all ages for this endeavor, next one coming Wednesday, March 24th.

The older we become, the more crazy life seems to get. In fact, it quickly starts to feel like we're drowning. In an effort to stay afloat, we begin to rely on ourselves more and more, forgetting about the power of the God we grew up learning about.
Our God does not operate in a box and He is not limited like we are. He is able to do more than we could ever ask or imagine. There is simply nothing He cannot do. It just takes us to acknowledge that and lean into His promises. After all, it isn't Him who drifts, but us.

GLOBAL YOUTH DAY // MARCH 20
A worldwide endeavor of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Youth Department — including the thirteen divisions, MENA Union and the Israel field — Global Youth Day [GYD] features Adventist young people reaching out to their communities with compassion and acts of service.
Over March 20th, as in years past, the 24-hour period will showcase on social media the news reports, testimony videos, and worldwide activity registering millions of digital impressions of next generations being the “hands and feet of Jesus.”
This year, as Global Youth Day commences, three “kick-off” programs were held to launch the event in each subsequent portion of the world as March 20th arrives to those world divisions.

Small groups make a huge difference! This program is bringing people together and creating communities. Current group leader, Jaren Humphreys, said of the program,
“I have loved every second of leading a group with AYP! It has enhanced my spiritual life; being able to meet with like-minded people and create a space to talk about God has been huge. This has been phenomenal for me during COVID-19; it has given me a community that I would not have otherwise.”

We’ve attempted to cut to the heart of what drives human beings - questions of purpose and meaning, experiences of witnessing God’s work firsthand, and even navigating this new world of remote learning, church shutdowns, and lost employment.
Because this is not a theological project, but a relational one, we envision this series being used on a Sabbath afternoon or midweek small group. It can be easily adapted to remote watch parties and zoom small group discussions. Often as we are driving in the DFW Metroplex, we will encounter homeless individuals panhandling at the traffic intersections. While any donation is sure to be appreciated, a blessing bag could provide valuable essentials, especially for homeless women. Find at the YG highbar tables in the lobby, bags ready for you to take and and checklist included to help you assemble blessing bags and to have them handy in your commuting vehicle. Diapers of all sizes and baby wipes are donations that are needed and deeply appreciated. Many of the community families we serve have babies and small children. GRATITUDE/PRAYER WALK
Foster a routine or regular practice of doing a gratitude and/or prayer walk around your church—thanking GOD for your neighbors, interceding for the surrounding businesses and shops, blessing the schools and day cares. Listen to what GOD may reveal to you as you walk in your community. You may want to also do this type of walk around your home.
THE PLUS ONE CHALLENGE
During the Easter season and beyond, there are ample opportunities to introduce your friends, family, neighbors, classmates and co-workers to your faith. Your challenge/mission is to make a simple invitation to at least one person; Invite them to things you already like to do and to places you already like to go. Invite just one--Plus One. It's a great place to start.
