Both Christ-followers and those simply curious about Jesus are welcome to join the journey. We also encourage you to invite someone to come along with you. We weren’t meant to journey alone. DCJ will continue through the weekend, Saturday 10AM at YG Church, and 10:30AM at Elevate Community Fellowship, then through the week on various social media platforms. DEEP CALLING JOURNEY SPEAKERS
PASTOR DANNY VERDUGO
Born in Southern California, Danny Verdugo moved to and began his ministry in Arizona. He and his beautiful, kindhearted wife Maria, are currently students at Southwestern Adventist University. He is pursuing a degree in Theology, while she is pursuing a degree in Social Science. His passion and calling is to reach young people through summer camp, youth, and young adult ministries. God has blessed Danny with mentors and professors that have guided him along his journey. He is an avid baseball fan, and enjoys a good hike. @daniel.eltravieso loves connecting with people and invites you to reach out.
PASTOR KAYLA GOODMAN
Kayla Goodman is a Florida girl who loves heat and humidity! Crazy right?! She likes to spend her days with people hearing stories and talking with them about Jesus. Kayla likes to always be on the go and try new things. She loves being home in Florida especially when she can be spending time at camp. If she ever had any free time she likes to spend it trying new things, or working on her business, Do Good Man, hoping to inspire others to spread the good. Kayla is a soon to be Senior theology major at @southwesternau She loves travel and missions and has plenty of funny stories. @kaylargoodman just completed her pastoral internship with @ygchurch and looks forward to the Summer adventures ahead.

However, while the body of Christ is beautifully diverse, simply being in proximity to people of different racial backgrounds doesn’t eliminate racism or automatically produce positive outcomes. And when it comes to loving and serving others, God has called us to more than diversity—he’s called us to justice and unity.
That’s why Barna has partnered with Dr. Michael Emerson and the Racial Justice and Unity Center, through a study funded by the Lilly Endowment, to conduct one of the most in-depth studies of attitudes, beliefs and experiences regarding race and the Church.
On April 29 at 1PM ET, join us for a free webinar where the Barna research team will unpack the findings from this study and offer insights from practitioners to help you address racial justice more effectively in your context.
