At The Table

JUNE 28, 2022 VOL.3 NO.27

SOMETHING AT THE TABLE FOR YOU
Younger Generation Church
wants to support your faith habits and spiritual growth as you strive to #BeJesus #BeYG. To this end, we have a copy of the devotional "At the Table with Jesus" we want to provide to anyone who will use it the next 12 weeks during our “Table Talks” series. Click the above icon for more information about the devotional.

Maybe your journey with Christ has been sporadic, filled with momentary bursts and desert times. It's said it takes about 66 days to form a new habit, so this might be just the time to return to the table Jesus has set to meet up with you.

Additionally, should you wish to use the devotional in a family or group setting, those would be great ways to build community during these upcoming weeks starting in July. Do what works for you. We will be giving the devotional out at YG this coming Sabbath.

Our desire and mission is for you to experience a deeper devotion with Christ Jesus, through intimacy, community, and grace. May you take a seat at the table and enjoy some time with Jesus.

SUCCESS CLOSET WARDROBE BOX IN CHURCH LOBBY
The Pathways to Success department at Southwestern Adventist University has this exciting program for the Fall semester called the Success Closet. We want to partner with our community to provide young professionals with professional attire. Many times, students at our university struggle financially and for this reason we created the Success Closet. Through the Success Closet our students will be able to receive professional clothing to rock their first interview or create a great first impression. Your donations to the wardrobe box in your church lobby will undoubtedly help students on their pathway to success.

GRATITUDE

WELCOME CECILIA LUNA
Congratulations to Anthony and Valeria!
This from Val, “On June 18th, 2022, the Lord blessed us with the arrival of our baby girl. We truly have no words to describe what we have been feeling since her arrival. It’s been pure bliss, love, and gratefulness. All we have to say is GOD IS GOOD.”

CONGRATULATIONS JOSHUA & EMANUEL!
Thrilled with all of heaven as the Torres brothers made decisions for baptism at @nadpastors CALLED Convention last weekend! Grateful to Dr. @itsmyronlive making the invitation, and to both he and Dr. @pastorgrif for doing the honors!

Chaplain Jorge Torres [@armychaplain2001] and his family are now at Fort Hood, but for several years have been part of our @ygchurch family wherever they have been stationed. Given the frequent transitions that military families experience, they have valued and enjoyed the consistency of discipleship and worship through our media ministry.

Congrats Joshua & Emanuel, we celebrate with you and support you in this new chapter! #BeJesus #BeYG

BE JESUS BE YG: DISCIPLETREK
Pastor @kaylargoodman is a facilitator at DiscipleTrek Camp in Alaska, just before heading to Seminary.

She shares, “What happens when a group of young people dedicate three weeks of their lives to study, collaborate, learn, and listen to what it means like to be a disciple? DiscipleTrek is committed to journeying alongside of young people, presenting the gospel in a palatable way so we can get to the root of why we believe what we believe. Run and operated by young adults, there are three weeks of presentations, community, and excitement. It is an opportunity to discover Christ anew, and grapple with your faith to make it your own.”

Keep Kayla and the @discipletrek team in your prayers as the culminate this year’s trek. And thanks Pastor Kayla for inspiring those around you with the hope of grace! #BeJesus #BeYG

THANKS FOR GIVING
Your generous donations of medical supplies, baby formula and other goods that were donated to help Ukranian refugees, has made it safely to Warsaw and is currently being sorted so that it may be distributed among the refugees who need it. Last week, Tanya Tchounkovskii, one of our very own YG members boarded the same plane that carried our supplies and aid to its first stop at Warsaw. Because of her work with Build & Restore, BeHumanKindness, and your contributions to the “World Relief Fund,” she was also able to take 10 more suitcases full of supplies and aid that will help refugees. The little things that we do for others matter more than we may ever fully see or comprehend here on earth. To those of you who donated, we thank you!

Younger Generation Church is the vibrant young adult ministry of the Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church. YG's mission is to deepen our devotion to Christ Jesus through:
