BROKEN TO BEAUTIFUL // PASSION SEASON 2023 // @YGCHURCH
8 We are cracked and chipped from our afflictions on all sides, but we are not crushed by them. We are bewildered at times, but we do not give in to despair. 9 We are persecuted, but we have not been abandoned. We have been knocked down, but we are not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our bodies the reality of the brutal death and suffering of Jesus. As a result, His resurrection life rises and reveals its wondrous power in our bodies as well. —2Corinthians 4:8-10 [Voice]

But he was hurt because of us; he suffered so.
Our wrongdoing wounded and crushed him.
He endured the breaking that made us whole.
The injuries he suffered became our healing.
—Isaiah 53:5 [Voice]

Join Younger Generation Church, Saturdays, 10:15AM CDT, as we discover the beauty in sacrifice, and the power of Love that can arise from suffering and pain. live.ygchurch.com

HOLY WEEK DEVOTIONALS // BEGINNING SUNDAY, APRIL 2
Holy Week is coming! Some call it Passion Week — the week between Palm Sunday and Resurrection Sunday. This week is packed with historical events rich in meaning and power. Each day we will read about what happened on that day in Jesus’ life and in the lives of His followers.

All four Gospels – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John – stress the importance of Jesus’ final week in Jerusalem. Use this timeline and reading plan to lead you through the Scriptures from the four Gospels in chronological order.

If you’d like to try a more seamless reading experience, we invite you to read the events as they took place in The Chronological Study Bible! Click the above icon to download a Palm Sunday sampler (both NIV and NKJV translations) so you can see for yourself how The Chronological Study Bible is different from a standard Bible!

Rearranging the order of the Bible’s books may appear to some readers to be a violation of the integrity of the Bile. The goal of The Chronological Study Bible is not to replace the time-honored canonical arrangement, but instead to honor time as the setting in which the biblical record appeared. Readers who study this Bible will return to their traditional Bibles better equipped to read them. No longer will its words be disconnected holy pronouncements out of the blue. They will be seen for what they really are: words, “rightly given... like apples of gold in settings of silver” (Pr. 25:11). To acquire a sense of the flow of the Bible’s story will put flesh and blood on its message.

As we follow His journey to the Cross, may our souls be set ablaze for Him. May we see our Savior in a new light and fall more in love with Him and be more awed at the gift of His love and His salvation! —FaithGateway

KEYCHAIN LEADERSHIP

Regardless of your age or level of experience - remember that there is always someone you can learn from as well as someone who God is calling you to disciple and give the keys of ministry to. Experience provides context of the “why” but does not make us experts on the “how”. Working together in mission ensures that our focus remains grounded in Jesus and that our methods effectively engage those we seek to minister to in a relevant and organic way. Read More

EXPERIENCE COMMUNITY

SUPPORTING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS
When she was in high school, youth leader and FYI apprentice Laura Atwood remembers adults talking often about how tough adolescence was. But no one seemed to say much about the challenges that would come in young adulthood.

Let’s offer high school seniors support that can help them navigate the instability that lies ahead.

This week on the blog, read more from Laura and discover two ways to serve high school seniors in the transition to young adulthood.

We’re with you as you help young people find Jesus-centered answers to their questions of identity, belonging, and purpose. —Fuller Youth Institute

SUPPORTING OUR PRIMROSE
On February 27th, our head deaconess Primrose Bimha, suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage which resulted in her having to undergo emergency surgery.

She is currently recovering in the Neuro-ICU. Although she continues to be in a lot of pain, she is in good spirits and has made significant progess as her condition continues to improve.

Recognizing that her full recovery may take some time, we continue to pray for continued healing of her body and strength and comfort for her and her family.

Many of you have asked about ways that you might be able to help her. What we realize is that when she leaves the hospital, she will have a mountain of hospital bills waiting for her.

We have decided to start a fund for those of you who would like to help her in this way. In the hopes that this will be one less thing that she will have to worry about. Thank you for your support and continued prayers. We love our church family. Click the above icon or here to support, https://gofund.me/4a34359c
