PASTOR MIKE TUCKER PREACHING AT LEGACY 9:00AM
Mike Tucker is Speaker Emeritus of Faith for Today Television. For seventeen years, he served as the senior pastor of Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he founded Younger Generation Church, their vibrant young adult ministry. Now retired, Mike’s career included education, medical and psychiatric chaplaincy, pastoral ministry, and television. He has authored nearly twenty books and continues to conduct seminars like Mad About Marriage and Good Grief.

He lives in Grand Prairie, TX. with his wife, Pam, a gospel singer from Canada, and pastoral care minister, who currently focuses on hospital chaplaincy. Mike enjoys ministry with Pam, and spending time with his wife, daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren. He describes himself as the happiest bad golfer you’ll ever meet!

ATTORNEY JULIAN HUMPHREY-DAVIS PREACHING AT YG 10:15AM
Jewlz Davis is a dedicated follower of Jesus and active member of @ygchurch. He relocated from Tennessee to Texas in 2018 to work at the University of Texas Arlington. In 2021, driven by a passion for justice and service, Jewlz embarked on a challenging journey by starting law school at the University of Texas School of Law. After three years of rigorous study and commitment, Jewlz proudly graduated from law school in 2024. Outside of academic and professional pursuits, Jewlz continues to be an enthusiastic participant in church activities and community outreach. With a firm foundation in faith and law, Jewlz is poised to make a significant impact in both fields.

Jewlz is married to the love of his life, Mrs. Crystal Humphrey-Davis.

DR. A ALLAN MARTIN PREACHING AT MOSAIC 11:30AM
A Allan Martin, PhD, is the teaching pastor of Younger Generation Church, the vibrant young adult ministry of the Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church in Texas [USA]. Dr. Martin serves the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists [NAD] as point for the Growing Together initiative in collaboration with Young Adult LIFE and the Fuller Youth Institute.

He and his wife, Deirdre Rivera-Martin, tour internationally, speaking about relationships as well as equipping new generations in Christian lifestyle and leadership. Their daughter, Alexandria, is a doctoral candidate with the Loma Linda University Health CRNA program, residing in Southern California with her husband Kevin Nye, PTA, while Allan and Deirdre continue to reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

**ALL CHURCH POOL PARTY // AUG 4, 6:30PM // STOVAL PARK**
The dog days of summer are here, but you don’t have to stay hot this week. Come out to the BK Pool at Stoval Park on Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 6:30pm - 8:30p.m. and cool off in the pool with your church family. We’ve reserved the whole pool complex and look forward to enjoying slides, diving boards, kiddie pools, and more. Lifeguards will be on-site, and all ages are welcome. **Who’s Invited:** Burton Academy families, area church members, and friends of Burton (and those interested in checking out Burton of course!)
**What to Bring:** Your family’s favorite barbecue dish or side dish with a serving spoon/utensil
**What to Expect:** A festive potluck-style barbecue cookout, bounce houses, lawn games, and of course…. a whole lot of delicious food, fun and fellowship for all! Hot dogs, drinks, and ice pops provided.

YG SPEAKER: CHAPLAIN KENT RUFO
Pastor Kent Rufo is the chaplain at Southwestern Adventist University. He is originally from northwest Ohio; He is a Cleveland-everything fan. Kent grew up going to public schools, but transferred to an Adventist university and gave his life to Jesus. He has served a couple years as an overseas missionary, been a lead pastor, pastored a church plant, been a youth pastor and been a chaplain at the academy and university level. Kent just completed his 20th year of pastoral ministry, seven of those years of ministry were spent at Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church as youth pastor.

Chaplain Rufo is celebrating his 19th anniversary with his wife, Anna, last Wednesday. He has two kids: Madison (15) and Jadon (12), both attending Burton Adventist Academy.

Karla Dechavez is among the original members and worship leaders for Younger Generation Church. She has served in almost every leadership role with @ygchurch and we are so grateful for her vision for our 20th anniversary. Karla is a physician recruiter for AdventHealth during the day, but a closet event planner by night. She’s been married to James for 15 years and has 9 year old Eli, who acts like he owns the church, the basketball court, and the world. In her free time, Karla enjoys doing absolutely nothing while sitting underneath the AC vent.
