Tara VinCross, DMin. serves as the Senior Pastor of Azure Hills Church in Grand Terrace, California where she lives with her husband, Caleb, and their kids Josiah and Ava. Pastor VinCross was raised in the Seattle, WA area, and for over 20 years has served churches in Washington, Pennsylvania, and California. She is passionate about helping people create space in their lives to become deeply rooted in the love of God and serve the world from their passion and giftedness. She is the author of the Deep Calling Discipleship Series and children’s books titled, God Loves Me and All My Feelings and Who Is God? She and her family enjoy traveling, serving, outdoor adventuring, and trying new vegan restaurants

We recently shared that our next AYP mission trip is headed to Miami, Florida, on May 22-27, 2024. We are pleased to announce that pre-registration is now open! Oddie Olazaran currently serves as the campus pastor for Burton Adventist Academy. He received his M.Div from the Andrews Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary with a concentration in Youth and Young Adult Ministry. Throughout his ministry, Oddie has focused on working with and mentoring the next generation. He and his wife, Madeline, have two beautiful dogs and enjoy outdoor adventures such as rock climbing, backpacking, and hiking.

Jewlz Davis is a new husband, a law student, and a YG regular. He loves the outdoors, spending time with people, and live music. He’s a passionate communicator, avid listener, and a ball of energy. He’s currently entering into his final semester of law school at UT Austin, and will graduate in May. BOLD SUPPORT FOR THEOLOGY AND EDUCATION MAJORS
In a bold step toward fostering the next generation of church leaders, the Southwestern Union, under the leadership of president Carlos Craig, and in collaboration with Southwestern Adventist University, has announced two groundbreaking initiatives to support students following a call to ministry through the study of theology and education. The strategies provide financial incentives, up to $15,000 per student, in response to the increasing need to recruit and retain teachers and pastors who choose to serve the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Southwestern Union.
