Elaine Masenda is a second-year Neuroscience and Public Health collegian at Columbia University. A devoted member of Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church, she enjoys teaching Sabbath School, helping with VBS in the Summer, and serving in YG. Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Elaine has a deep love for working with children and serves as a Youth Health Education Coordinator, teaching underserved youth around the world about public health.

This is a valuable opportunity to step back, refocus, and be encouraged alongside other parents in our church community.
This seminar is based on Paul David Tripp’s book Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles That Can Radically Change Your Family and is designed to help parents shift from behavior-focused strategies to a gospel-centered approach. It will take place on July 19, July 26, August 2, and August 9 at 4:30 pm at the Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church. YG’s WVSW is a carefully-crafted space for creativity, learning, and community—you don’t want to miss it! YG WORSHIP INTERN: REBECCA LIMA
Rebeca Lima is a Vocal Performance Major from Southwestern Adventist University [SWAU]. She has served as the Worship Minister of Cleburne Community Church since September 2023 and performed with the Southwestern University Singers. Rebeca was the 2022-2023 Spiritual Life and Development Music Coordinator for SWAU, and 2023 Summer Worship Intern for Canyon Creek Project. Since her high school years, she has sang and led in worship in English, Portuguese, and Spanish through out the DFW Metroplex. Rebecca has a passion for creating conducive spaces for genuine, community-oriented praise.

KIX FOR KIDS: REVIVE SUMMER SHOE DRIVE
REVIVE is collecting BRAND NEW SHOES for SCHOOL-AGED KIDS (ages 5 to 18). Donated shoes must be new and in their original boxes. This Drive is Powered by YG Shark Tank! REVIVE will distribute donated shoes to children in need during a Back-to-School Event which will take place in early August! Please help us spread some cheer by donating! It is a dynamic two-day event, September 12-13, designed to inspire, engage, and empower young adults for missional adventures. This year’s Summit includes the highly anticipated Spark Tank experience, where teams can pitch their innovative ministry ideas and receive a portion of $75,000 to bring ideas to life. Heidi Cruz Jackson is the Community Outreach Pastor and Director of REVIVE Community Care at the Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church [Texas, USA]. She is also a Registered Nurse and previously worked as a Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth Texas. As a graduate of Southwestern Adventist University, Heidi met her husband Jesse there.. Together they have two boys, Jaylen and Jordan and enjoy singing together, meeting the needs of the community, and leading others to Christ, as a family.

Christopher Findley is the Bible Teacher and Campus Pastor at Burton Adventist Academy. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he is a graduate of Southwestern Adventist University and earned Masters of Divinity at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. He is married to Karen Findley, and they have a 5-month-old son, Christopher Raymond. Pastor Chris enjoys gardening, walking and cooking.
