YG SPEAKER: KELLANY FREITAS
”Hi, I’m Kellany Freitas, a worship leader based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area with a passion for creating spaces where people can encounter God in a real and personal way. I’ve had the honor of leading worship at churches and conferences across the U.S. I’m the founder of Dwell Worship Collective, a ministry focused on intimate worship gatherings, and co-host of the Horizontal Kingdom Podcast. My heart is to see Jesus lifted high and make known through worship.”

HALAL: THE PRAISE CONTINUES // AUG 30, 7:30PM // ARLINGTON ADVENTIST CHURCH
In the Hebrew language, Halal means to "Celebrate extravagantly."

Root of the word “hallelujah” which means “praise (halla) to jah (God)”. Expresses joy, jubilation and celebration. To shine, to flash forth light, to boast. This is a word picture designed for us to imagine just how magnificent and brilliantly bright God is. Worthy of being boasted about. One of the meanings also references acting wildly like a madman! That’s how awesome (inspiring, terrific, EXTRAORDINARY) our God is. To see this level of glory and magnificence elicits an extraordinary response.

All worshipers join us.

GRATITUDE

ELDERS IN TRAINING LUNCHEON
In a recent @ministrymagazine article I mention, “In our local congregation we have launched internship, residency, and apprenticeship initiatives in which I engage with youth and young adults in both ministry mentoring and vocational discipleship.” I’m excited to add in that more of our adult leaders are joining in the fray.

Our @arlingtonsda Elders invited our @ygchurch “Elders in Training” [EIT] and their families to a Sabbath luncheon where all could get acquainted and build relationships. Elder @bolivingston_lostforever organized the whole affair affording Head Elder @sirmares00 and our pastors to offer insights and encouragement. After the luncheon, EITs will then be paired with church elders for a quarter to be mentored and supported in their leadership development. At the first of next year, they will be matched with a second church elder to add to their experience before being inducted as YG Elders.

We pray that these intentional efforts will inspire young and seasoned leaders alike. We have a holy hope that we might bring to fruition the words of the apostle Peter:

“And in the last days it shall be, God declares,
that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh,
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams;
even on my male servants and female servants
in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and
they shall prophesy.”
—Acts 2:17-18 [ESV]

Welcome Our New Staff Members!

We are excited to share some wonderful news with you! God continues to bless our community, and we’re thrilled to introduce the newest members of our church staff. Each of them brings unique gifts, a heart for ministry, and a deep desire to serve alongside you.

Please join us in giving them a warm welcome as they begin their journey with us. We look forward to the ways God will work through them in the days ahead!

Stephanie Garcia is honored to serve as the new church secretary at The Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church. She is the proud mother of two wonderful daughters, Indie Luna and Isabella Delilah, and feels truly blessed to be part of the church family. Stephanie has a heart for people and enjoys creating a warm, welcoming space for others. In her free time, she loves working with flowers and plants, especially creating floral arrangements. She also has a deep interest in health, wellness, and homeopathic remedies, finding peace and purpose in caring for the body naturally and intentionally. Stephanie is grateful for the warm welcome she has received and looks forward to getting to know each member of the congregation and serving together. Don’t hesitate to say hello!

Sarah Mizher has been a member of the Arlington Church since she was a freshman at Burton Adventist Academy in 2011. After high school, she pursued a degree in psychology at Southwestern Adventist University. Upon graduating, she worked as an administrative assistant at Tarrant County College. Subsequently, she began working in the trade-show industry, where she is currently employed. Sarah has a deep love for the Arlington Church as well as for Burton, and has been looking for a way to give back to the church and school that has played such a large part in who she is today. Sarah continues to be active in the Adventist community by coaching the silks team at Southwestern Adventist University and serving as the Arlington Church Treasurer.

Please join us in welcoming Aaron Weber to our team! With over 18 years of experience in broadcast and live production—especially in ministry—Aaron brings deep expertise from organizations like Sandals Church, Hope Channel, and Loma Linda Broadcasting Network. He has directed live events, built media workflows, and produced hundreds of TV episodes for global audiences. Passionate about mentorship, Aaron has trained over 400 volunteers and team members. We're excited to have him on board to help us grow our impact and connect more deeply with our community. We look forward to the creativity and leadership he’ll bring to our mission.
