AYP MIDWEST ZOOM COOKOUT // SATURDAY // 6:00PM CDT
We are pleased to host the sixth episode of Midwest Zoom Cookout! The Cookout is a space where AYPers can connect and virtually enjoy dinner together. Hosted by Midwest Director, Kelly Gabriel, the event is on August 28, 2021 at 7:00 PM Eastern/6:00 PM Central and will meet via Zoom. Space is limited and registration is free but required.
Join us for time and space for young adults to sit back, relax, and meet with each other. This event will be held around dinner time, so AYPers can “share” meal time together virtually, hopefully making meal time less lonely! Adventist Young Professionals will be hosting their first convention called Reconnect: Integrating Work & Life Together in Christ held in Austin, Texas on September 3-5, 2021. Sponsored by the Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, this event will focus on providing our young adult community a space to connect and pursue opportunities to serve together. Participants will engage in a unique experience that will include inspirational speakers and leaders, vibrant worship, and opportunities for social connection. Our ministry’s purpose is to reconnect together as a community that has been longing for practical and meaningful experiences that will help them grow spiritually and professionally, integrating work and life together in Christ.

Calling all Young Adults from across Sydney for an afternoon of worship and discussion. We will be discussing important and relevant questions and topics:

The theme for this year is "SIZE UP". It's a challenge and call to action to take your relationship with Christ to the next level. Our Keynote Speaker is Pr Bernard Deojee, who will be delivering a powerful message on purpose-driven life.

SUCCESS CLOSET: DONATIONS OF PROFESSIONAL ATTIRE
Helping local low-income and in-need students and young professionals dress for success.
Southwestern Adventist University (SWAU) is hosting the Success Closet on campus in our Student Center from September 20th-23rd. SWAU is a proud Hispanic Serving Institution Ranked #6 in Texas for most diverse campuses and #2 in the nation for social mobility. There is a great need to support low-income and first-generation college students. As well as aspiring young professionals and students in our local community. We are seeking partners and vendors for this exciting endeavor.
The need: new or like new professional clothing including:
• dress slacks,
• dress shirts,
• professional blouses,
• men and woman blazers
• suits
Donations will be accepted until the end of August
• Looking for new or like new clothing
• Donors can bring clothing to the wardrobe box in the church lobby this Sabbath
