Mark your calendars and plan to join us for another Speaker Series Weekend, Sabbath, October 7. We're excited to welcome our special guest, Carl Wilkens, author of the book, I'm Not Leaving, the story of Wilkens' experience as a humanitarian aid worker and one of Americans who refused to leave Rwanda as thousands of expatriates and UN solders fled the country as the 1994 Rwandan genocide against the Tutsi was gaining deadly momentum. Working together with Rwandan colleagues they brought food, water and medicine to orphans trapped around Kigali.

These days Wilkens travels around the globe using the transformative process of storytelling to explore how restorative practices can safely guide us through the challenges of polarization, and harmful conflict.

RIGHTNOW CONFERENCE 2023 // NOV 1-3 // BENT TREE BIBLE FELLOWSHIP
Doesn’t the path of discipleship sometimes seem unclear? Sure, we know we’re supposed to grow as Christians and help others do the same, but spiritual growth often feels nebulous. And as church leaders, we often feel like we’ve tried every plan, Bible study, and small group to help people grow, and we wonder if anyone is actually changing.

Discipleship might not be as step-by-step as an instruction manual or as simple as directions on a map. But we do know what a disciple looks like, how disciples act and think, and what disciples create because we know Jesus. He’s our example who clarifies discipleship for us.

Younger Generation Church will be taking our leadership team to this conference to deepen our discipleship to Jesus and sharpen our devotion to each other. If you would like to attend, contact Pastor Allan with your interest.

WILD HOSPITALITY: THE LOST COIN
You don't have to look far, but you do have to look hard. Seek and save the lost.

“Here is a simple rule of thumb for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you; then grab the initiative and do it for them! If you only love the lovable, do you expect a pat on the back? Run-of-the-mill sinners do that. If you only help those who help you, do you expect a medal? Garden-variety sinners do that. If you only give for what you hope to get out of it, do you think that’s charity? The stingiest of pawnbrokers does that. –Luke 6:31-34 [Message]

We are loved by a lavish, hospitable GOD. There is room in the Father’s house for you. The Father is throwing a homecoming party. He cares for your every need and knows you by name.

WILD HOSPITALITY: THE LOST SHEEP
“And when he gets home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, because I have found my lost sheep!’ I tell you, in the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.” –Luke 15:6-7 [AMP]

We are loved by a lavish, hospitable GOD. There is room in the Father’s house for you. The Father is throwing a homecoming party. He cares for your every need and knows you by name.

WILD HOSPITALITY: THE AMBASSADOR
Amidst all the millions of things to worry about, don't miss the ONE thing.

19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 20 So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” –2Corinthians 5:19-20 [NLT]

We are loved by a lavish, hospitable GOD. There is room in the Father’s house for you. The Father is throwing a homecoming party. He cares for your every need and knows you by name.

WILD HOSPITALITY: THE GOOD SAMARITAN
“And I think it was the real kind of transformational moment in our growth at Eleven Madison Park. There's this quote often attributed to Maya Angelou that ‘people will forget what you do, they'll forget what you say, but they'll never forget how you made them feel.’” –Will Guidara, Unreasonable Hospitality
